Bill began the Wheatbelt Steel legacy back in 1982 making silos with his brother on their farm in Kalannie. During quiet seasons, they branched out into sheds. Realising that there was a higher demand for sheds, Bill started the Wheatbelt Steel business.
Bill has an extensive knowledge of steel sheds, and when he is not busy with office work, he likes to get his Hi Vis PPE gear on and head down to the workshop to do some work and pass his knowledge on to the welders.
Russell grew up alongside Wheatbelt Steel, working with his dad on school holidays and learning the ropes of the business. He got his start in the workshop, then spent time in every role, building an understanding of the operational processes and procedures.
Russell’s deep knowledge of every aspect of the business and his commitment to continuous improvement has contributed much to making WBS Group the company it is today.
